ponder reflection – sOnic alchemy

When we searched for the title of the album once the process was finished we looked into the fields of resonances which informed our vibrating and moving: changes.

Ponder Reflections is a compelling statement from the Berlin-based duo of Sofia Borges and Klaus Janek. The record channels their practice in electroacoustic settings into a singular collaborative vision, built upon a foundation of extended techniques. Their individual contributions weave into an inseparable tapestry, establishing oneiric yet urgent landscapes where the source of each sound remains ambiguous. While both artists have an extensive body of solo work that fuses acoustic and electronic elements, this project reveals their unique synergy. Their organic interplay dissolves the boundaries between musician and machine, achieving a unity born not from simple merger, but from a continuous process of mutual augmentation. The two performers resonate with one another, sharing a realm of active contemplation in a deliberate process of intertwined reflection that extends beyond the purely musical.
